For anyone who has signed up recently, you may not be aware that this newsletter has a paid subscription model that was paused to account for the lull as spring training was pushed back for most minor leaguers. Everything has been free during that time, including all positional preview material and audio posts.
The minor league season is set to begin next week and ballparks are at least partially opening, giving me access to prospects live for the first time since 2019. You have no idea how happy this makes me: 1) I live for watching baseball live and 2) I can finally begin to implement the plans I’ve had for this newsletter since starting it in January 2020.
As a result, this newsletter’s paid model will return effective Saturday, May 1. That means current paid subscribers whose accounts were paused will resume paying beginning on that day.
PLEASE BE AWARE: If you are an annual subscriber, your account will automatically renew. May 1 marks a big renewal date for the newsletter, so I don’t want to blindside anybody. If that does happen, please contact me at the email address at the bottom of this post and we will work it out. Your account will renew on the date that you first signed up (the one-year mark).
This also means monthly subscribers will begin paying their monthly rate on the same day each month they previously paid.
However, I am lowering the price this year. Starting May 1, the monthly rate will be $5 and the annual rate is $50. I feel this is more reasonable and may allow for more readers to gain access to my premium content.
A premium subscription guarantees access to the following:
Annual ebook guide to Braves system with every scouting report and featured stories.
Monthly updated player rankings and grades.
System-wide pro scouting reports posted and updated throughout each month.
Audio posts discussing anything Braves prospects.
A free subscription provides the basic information such as weekly notes and transactions, occasional feature stories and a monthly mailbag.
Now that I will have in-person looks at prospects again, I will be able to provide weekly to monthly evaluation notes and reports, and the once-a-month updated player rankings and reports. All of it will be based on my eyes and evaluation skills, not secondhand information.
I will post this again Friday as a final reminder before subscriptions resume over the weekend. Monday marks the beginning of weekly coverage. We’re almost there.
Thank you for being patient and loyally supporting the newsletter despite having so little to cover over the past year. The numbers stayed consistent and solid during that span, and that’s more than I could have asked for. It’s my motivation to pay you back with the most in-depth coverage of the Braves minor league system in 2021.
If anyone has questions about subscriptions or billing, don’t hesitate to reach out at the email address below.
I'm more than happy to renew my subscription. Looking forward to your minor league scouting. Tony Steele Australia
